Before our infield renovation, the skinned surface suffered from severe “chunking-out” and could get so hard that it was impenetrable by rakes and nail drags.

I had worked with Natural Sand Co. previously in Lake County, Ohio.  When it was time to renovate Spring Mobile Ballpark, I got in touch with Grant and we renovated the infield by removing the existing base soil and replaced it with DuraEdge Pro Infield Mix.

Since the renovation, our players have complimented the cleat-in/cleat-out effect…not to mention the drastic improvement in water-retention.  The DuraEdge infield has taken up to a quarter inch of rain overnight and still been playable by 1 p.m. the next day!

One thing is certain; I know what I am getting with DuraEdge Infield Mix.  Whether I am working in the Midwest or high desert of Utah, the materials I’ve received have been consistent.  

I know what I am getting, how it’s going to play, how it will react to watering, rain, snow, hail (happened this year) and how to continue playing though it.  We have been able to play through some of the nastiest weather Utah can throw at us in early March and April (rain and snow) and play.  With our old material we never would have thought about playing those games, but we’ve played through it all this year.
